Fujitsu LifeBook U772 14

Fujitsu LifeBook U772 14

Welcome to a laptop battery specialist of the Toshiba Laptop Battery

Fujitsu's LifeBook U772 is a very compact and lightweight ultrabook for the business user that also offers some good overall performance. The problem is that the display and keyboard really hold it back from being a highly recommended system as there are options that are better that might cost more or similarly priced offerings that trade some weigh and size for better displays and keyboards.

Nov 30 2012 - Fujitsu is primarily a manufacturer of business class computers and the LifeBook U772 continues their focus on smaller and more portable systems by using the Intel ultrabook platform. The system is relatively thin and just seven tenths of an inch thick that is maintained through the whole frame. The body is made of a magnesium allow that helps it keep a very low 3.2 pound weight which is one of the lowest for a 14-inch laptop with battery like Toshiba PA3729U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba PA3730U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba Satellite P505 Battery, Toshiba PA3640U-1BAS Battery, Toshiba PA3640U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba Qosmio F55 Battery, Toshiba PA3536U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba PA3537U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba Satellite P205 Battery, Toshiba PA3589U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba PA3609U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba Qosmio F45 Battery. On the exterior, the allow is a silver color reminiscent of the Apple MacBook laptops while the interior is a black color that gives it a fairly distinctive look.

Powering the Fujitsu LifeBook U772 is the ubiquitous Intel Core i5-3317U which you find the the majority of ultrabooks. This dual core processor may not be as fast as standard mobile processor but it provides much lower power consumption but still with sufficient performance for the average business users that typically just uses such a laptop for productivity software and email. Those looking for a mobile laptop that might be used for more intensive graphics applications or digital video would probably find it a bit slow. The processor is matched up with 4GB of DDR3 memory which provides a smooth overall experience with the Windows 7 Professional software.

Since most business users don't require a large amount of storage space for their programs, Fujistu has elected to use a 128GB solid state drive for the LifeBook U772. This provides it with very fast boot times and program applications. In fact, a cold boot of Windows took just under half a minute and it wakes from sleep mode in a matter of seconds. The only downside is that the drive might be small if they need to carry large amounts of data. Thankfully, there are two USB 3.0 ports for use with high speed external storage drives. There is no optical drive within the LifeBook U772 and the port replicator that is available as an accessory does not feature one either.

To compliment the under-the-hood power, the XPS 12 is stacked with a modest selection of ports, including the two USB ports and the external display port. You don't get a disc drive here, but it's probably a good thing considering it's already tipping the scales at over 1.5 kilograms.

While the carbon fibre design enveloping the XPS 12 certainly looks nice, it leaves you a little wary as to how strong the whole thing is. It's actually quite soft to the touch, and makes you think that it wouldn't stand up to much if you dropped it or treated it too badly one day.
