between Apple and Google

between Apple and Google

Welcome to a laptop battery specialist of the Compaq Laptop Battery

They did screw up, but there should be no "understanding" of their decisions. This is, as the phrase does, part of the "apple distortion field". The ipad mini is just an inferior device, but it is all that apple users have to "choose" from if they want to go smaller. And that is a shame.

November 10, 2012 9:28 PM (PST) Like (3) Link Flag 1. Yes, Apple probably could've included a Retina display. But I doubt they'd be able to make it as thin and efficient. I love the fact that it doesn't take forever to charge up the battery, which is something I hated about the iPad 3. The Nexus 10 can't even charge up while it's being used thanx to its battery such as Compaq Armada M700 Battery, Compaq EVO N400c Battery, Compaq EVO N410c Battery, Compaq EVO N600C Battery, Compaq EVO N610C Battery, Compaq EVO N620C Battery, Compaq Presario 1200 Battery, Compaq Presario 1800 Battery, Hp Pavilion dv3t battery, Hp NU089AA battery, Hp HSTNN-LB94 battery, Hp HSTNN-LB93 battery-hogging display. And a retina display would really be overkill for a 7.9".

If only all the apps for the iPad could run on a 1536x1152 (semi-retina) display without any app modification required and the battery charge time wasn't as bad as the iPad 3, the iPad Mini would be perfect... Yes, profit had something to do with the exclusion of a retina display,...but other factors weighed in more.

2. Google is all about ads. nuff said. Youtube used to be great... but now you gotta watch Ads before a video. This is one of the reasons why Apple kept Flash out... but now Google and other website have figured out a way to display Ads via html 5. Boohoo!

3. I import pictures from my flash drives, camera, camcorders, etc via the USB camera adapter. I also hook up MIDI guitars, keyboard, and other equipment. Works perfectly. Sure the adapter costs money, but it's better than having all these (unnecessary to most users) extra ports on the device. By offering an adapter, we get an aesthetically pleasing thinner device and the option to plug in USB devices when needed. There's an HDMI adapter but Airplay is less of a hassle. There are apps that stream content from the iPad to PS3, XBox, etc.

For Web coding, I use Textastic, which includes an FTP client and DropBox support. The best part is that it remembers where your files are online... So after making a change locally, you tap on update online and it automatically uploads to your FTP server. You can also overwrite your local copy by downloaded from your FTP server.
And the productivity list goes on...

iPad Mini can do that too if you choose to jailbreak it... so it's that the hardware can't handle it; it's just not a feature most people will use. Use a laptop if you want 10 windows open at the same time.

If Apple can include a retina display on the iPad Mini 2 without requiring longer battery charge time and without making the device heavier and thicker, then I'll upgrade for sure.
Otherwise, it would really defeat the purpose of having a Mini... I love the current size and weight...I'm selling off my iPad 3... I choose size and portability over a retina display.

Google is out to make as much money as it can, just like every capitalist entity out there. The only difference is that Google sells ads and your personal data, not hardware, so they can appear to act more charitable and benevolent in the marketing of tablets, because it doesn't affect their bottom line one bit.

Personally, given a choice between Apple and Google, I would prefer to park my data with Apple. At least I can be more certain that it stays within Apple. That's why I voluntarily upgraded to IOS6 knowing fully well maps would be problematic.
